Writers Bio

Kristen Henley is a writer/actor/improviser who delights in finding the comedic and hopeful twists that lie in the truths we struggle with every day. She's written several projects for the education media company The Story Pirates, including contributions to the award-winning podcast, and cable access show Story Pirates Television. Several shorts from her time as a mainstage writer/perfomer at iO West have been featured on Funny or Die and WhoHaHa. She wrote for Camp by Wal-Mart, an interactive virtual camp for kids at home. This spring, Kristen's short film Inexact Science won its category in the Fresh Voices Screenplay Competition, and her comedy spec of PEN15 received an honorable mention. She also cohosts comedy podcast Driving to Disneyland, which as one might guess is recorded in an acid green hatchback rolling down the 5. Toot toot beep beep.
